In the last couple of months, one of the property owners at Stones Corner has modified his/her building to establish tenancies at ground level along one of the connecting lanes between Logan Road and Stoneham Street. It’s more of a car park really than a lane, but the idea is very reminiscent of that provided by the Green Team in our 2010 workshop.

Pictures will speak louder than words, so will endeavour to get some pics to post in the next week or so. From these, it will be self-evident of how improvements could be made to really activate the thoroughfare along which these new retail premises are located. The clue will be in the wall and pavement treatments and some of the other interventions suggested by the Green Team. See their work in LC2010/Outcomes.
